Ingredients

  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp sea salt flake
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ onion finely diced
  • 1 jalapeno deseeded and finely sliced
  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes quartered
  • 750 grams chuck steak
  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  • Pre heat a fan forced oven to 160℃
  • Combine smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, salt and water in the baking dish and stir to combine well.
  • Next add the jalapeno, diced onion and cherry tomatoes and mix together.
  • Place chuck steak on top of the mixture then drizzle some of the mixture on top of the steak to coat.
  • Cover baking dish tightly with foil and bake for 3 hours.
  • After 3 hours remove beef from the oven and shred the meat using two forks.
  • Turn the oven up to 200℃ then return the beef uncovered and cook for 15 minutes.
  • Serve beef on a platter sprinkled with coriander leaves.
